• Zero Adulteration - Best Grade Spices

At your local grocery store you will find that the cost of Whole Spice is much higher than that of its powder. It takes time, effort and money to grind Whole Spice to Powder, then how can the Powder be cheaper??

Spice powders are usually made from the lowest grades of whole spice and not from the top grade whole spice you see on the grocery shelf. In addition, spice powder is amongst the most adulterated foods in the country.

FreshGround's spice powders are made from the most expensive, topmost grades of spices grown in India. Our Patented Spice Processing & Ultra Small Batch Grinding method developed after 3 years of research ensures transparency in production, Zero Adulteration and a safe, healthy product

  • Unblended - Single Origin Regional Varieties

Almost every spice powder sold in India is an impure mixture of multiple different variants of the whole spice and additives to give it the desired colour & pungency.

This practice has led to commoditisation of the spice business and no traceability of what is actually being ground.

In addition, India's diverse and native varieties of spice which have a unique regional flavour but are expensive to cultivate are being replaced by cheaper hybrid variants in this grinding mix. Commercially available spices hence lack an authentic native flavour, taste and aroma

Each FreshGround spice product is from a Single Origin and a Traceable Regional Source, it is not intermixed with cheaper variants or hybrids ensuring an Authentic Native Taste, Flavour and Aroma.

  • Each Order Freshly Ground - Patented Process

Spice needs multi-stage Industrial Grinding to minimise heat production and loss of quality. After grinding in the factory it takes 3 to 6 months for the spice to reach you, by then it has lost most of its core Flavour and Aroma. At FreshGround we have worked for 3 years to develop a process for Ultra Small Batch Grinding that helps retain the original flavour, colour and taste of spice. This ensures that grinding is done "on demand" and a freshly ground pack of spice, rich with its original flavour and aroma is dispatched to you within a few hours of grinding, direct from the closest grinding station. FreshGround owns the Patent for this Processing and Grinding Method
